Breweries in Los Angeles open for Visitors

Here are some of the breweries that are open for visitors in Los Angeles.

2020 has been a year where people have endured a lot, the world has undergone a drastic change because of multiple reasons and it has been a turbulent time for a major part of the last eight months. While the pain and the sense of loneliness is going away gradually, it is time to ensure that we close 2020 on a high and bring joy to the faces of our friends, family and closed ones as we go about. This of course, while adhering to the rules and guidelines set by the government.

When the virus hit, the breweries that were open to the public took quite a hit as they lost a huge number of customers who would visit and enjoy the processes and the drinks available. They were shut down, but not anymore. With the regulations set by the LA county, breweries are reopening to the public once again and they are waiting to see footfalls back in their yards as they begin production of their craft beers. Here are some of the breweries that are open for visitors in Los Angeles.

Beachwood Brewing: Perhaps the best start would be to have a proper rundown of beer and barbeque and that is what Beachwood Brewing is all about. They have, over the years, managed to perfect the art of bringing together delicious barbeque and wonderful beer for all the people who come to their brewery. From eating perfectly cooked ribs to having pints of stout beer, Beachwood Brewing offers a wonderful combination of food, beer and location at their brewery. You get a lot of meat when at the brewery and the beer is available on tap and they also have a few options from Beachwood Blendery, their sibling brewery. They also have TV’s set up for you to enjoy game nights with friends while enjoying their setting.

Pacific Plate Brewing Company: This brewery is located in the city of Monrovia in LA and houses some of the best beers on tap. It is an independently owned brewery that believes in producing traditional yet unique craft beer for everyone. While they brew their own beers, they get food from local food vendors in order to help the customers have a great time with the combination of great food and exclusively crafted beer, also available on tap. With Covid restrictions in place, Pacific Plate Brewing Company is open to customers during specific times of the day and is completely regulated according to the rules set up by LA county. They also have dine-in facilities available during certain days of the week.

Casa Agria: Nestled in the city of Oxnard, California, Casa Agria was opened in the year 2015 and is an independently owned brewery. They are a boutique brewery whose main focus lies on crafting fermented farmhouse ales, yeast driven pale ales along with barrel aged wild ales. They have a tasting room where you get a variety of freshly brewed beers that come with different ABV % and can be enjoyed based on your preference. The timings of the tasting room are a subject to change, and with Covid protocols and regulations in place, checking their website before visiting is a great thought. Along with their specialty beers, they also have Taco bars and barbeques that make for great food and indulge in a great day trip to this quiet and beautiful brewery.

Eagle Rock Brewery: Having been established back in 2009, Eagle Rock Brewery has now catered to beer lovers for more than a decade. When it began operations, it was the first microbrewery from Los Angeles to do so in sixty years. Owners Jeremy Raub, his father Steven Raub and Jeremy’s wife Ting Su are all dedicated towards producing artisanal beers using the highest quality ingredients and have a wide range of styles and flavors in their beers. They do this in order to attract aficionados and newcomers alike and also have food trucks come in during different days of the week to give the customers a complete food and beer experience. The brewery is open to the public, with different time frames so as to adhere to the Covid regulations. A great brewery to visit for anyone who loves indulging in a good old beer!

FrogTown Brewery: Located along the LA river, FrogTown Brewery is an independent craft brewery owned by longtime friends Mike Voss and Adam Kestel. These long time friends had a passion for brewing and always dreamt of having their own brewery and with FrogTown that dream is now complete. A brewery opened with the idea of creating handcrafted beers that served the local communities to create more interaction among them, FrogTown Brewery started its operations in 2016. Experimental beers such as Painkiller, and Kinky Blonde Ale have become household favorites along with other wonderful options to choose from. With a family and dog-friendly environment, FrogTown’s taproom also has a great collection of local artwork which makes the brewery get a very LA feel. Along with their food, they also conduct art shows which are bound to make for a good day’s visit to FrogTown Brewery.

Just like the  breweries mentioned above, there are quite a few other breweries that have started serving the public, having reopened on time scales amidst the Covid regulations. From great tasting beer, to a bunch of excellent food options and other stuff to do, these breweries are coming back to the normal way of life having taken a hit during the past few months. It is time we celebrate them and try to become a part of their growing list of customers. It is not just beer that is brewing afterall, there is friendship and celebration and love for beer brewing as well!
