Melina Meza

Mel wears many hats: she's not only the mastermind behind craft cocktails at Boujis Group, known for using top-quality, fresh ingredients, but she's also the founder of Last Call Consulting. Her consulting firm focuses on curating exceptional cocktail programs, offering staff and spirits training, organizing private events, and developing bar concepts. On top of that, Mel contributes her expertise as a member of the Board of Directors for the US Bartenders Guild’s Los Angeles Chapter.

Julian Cox

Julian Cox got his start at Lettuce Entertain You in Chicago, where he boosted liquor sales by $144 million across nine properties. His high-volume tap cocktails at Three Dots and a Dash earned a nomination for "America's Best High-Volume Bar" in 2016, adding $6 million to the Tiki bar's revenue. Cox has also been nominated for a James Beard Award three times for his work at Rivera. He's crafted cocktail menus for top spots like Bestia, Otium, and Redbird, and most recently, he's been behind the bar programs at LAFC's stadium and Fanny's at the Academy Museum.

Beau du Bois

Beau du Bois has been shaking things up in the LA cocktail scene since 2007, starting as the last bartender at the "Riot House" Hyatt before it became Andaz. There, he launched one of LA's first farm-to-table cocktail programs. He later crafted the opening cocktail menu for MB Post in Manhattan Beach and ran The Corner Door’s bar program from 2012 to 2017. During his time there, Beau was named one of Zagat’s 30 under 30, one of America’s Top 25 bartenders, and Eater LA’s Bartender of the Year in 2014.

Jared Mort

Jared Mort is a key figure in LA's cocktail scene, known for his work with the 1933 Group, where he plays a significant role in shaping the bar programs at their renowned venues. With a deep passion for mixology, Mort has been instrumental in reviving classic cocktails with a modern twist, making him a standout in the industry. His expertise and creativity have helped solidify the 1933 Group's reputation for top-notch bars across Los Angeles.

Matt Biancaniello

Originally from Boston, Matthew has called LA home since 2000. He began his bartending journey at The Library Bar at The Hollywood Roosevelt in 2008, and by 2012, he was blending food with alcohol, consulting for top restaurants and hotels, including a memorable stint with Roy Choi. His first book, Eat Your Drink, was released in 2017, with a second, Omakocktail, out in 2022. Though his dream restaurant Mon-Li tragically burned down in the Woolsey Fire in 2018, his passion for mixology remains stronger than ever.

Tobin Shea

With over 20 years in the bar industry, his expertise shines through in his artful yet approachable cocktails. At Redbird in DTLA, his deep knowledge and passion for showcasing rare spirits—like Germanic schnaps, aquavit, and Middle Eastern arak—make the bar a must-visit for spirits enthusiasts. The relaxed atmosphere and diverse drink menu ensure everyone feels welcome. Given LA's significant Armenian community, especially in this neighborhood, his bar also features Armenian brandies, inspired by his travels in Armenia, adding another unique layer to the experience.

Yael Vengroff

Houston native Yael Vengroff didn't just enter the cocktail world—she stormed it! Starting as a barback in NYC while at NYU, she quickly made waves, learning from legends like Alex Day and Audrey Saunders. In LA, she’s rocked the bar scene at Harvard & Stone and Honeycut, and now oversees the lively cocktail programs at The Spare Room and tiki hotspot Genghis Cohen. Her impressive accolades include winning Speed Rack in 2012, Fastest Hands in the West in 2014, and landing on Zagat’s “30 Under 30” list in 2015.

Justin Campbell

Bringing 15 years of bartending mastery, Justin Campbell directs the bars at The h.wood Group’s chic venues such as The Nice Guy and Harriet’s Rooftop. His expertise keeps A-listers like Janet Jackson and Drake sipping on perfectly crafted cocktails in a low-key, paparazzi-free setting.

Sarah Mengoni

Sarah Mengoni began bartending in Michigan before she was legally old enough to drink, feeling instantly cool and continuing her journey in Chicago. In 2005, she moved to Los Angeles with Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant Group, diving into bar management and big events. Sarah gained recognition as a mixologist at notable events and in publications like Forbes and Vogue. After earning her Barsmarts 5 Day certification in 2019, the pandemic led her to launch "Historically Drinking," offering cocktail classes and consultations.

Christine Wiseman

Since moving to Los Angeles in 2012, Wiseman has shaken up the city’s cocktail scene at spots like Michael Voltaggio’s Ink, La Descarga, and Break Room 86.
